Improvement of the sustainability process in all Villages. The aim was to establish a structure that supports the communication, documentation, monitoring and management of ESG standards in retail development in coordination with the infrastructure of The Bicester Collection.

Our approach focused on three central pillars: Sustainability, Processes & Tools and People. We conducted an as-is analysis to evaluate existing initiatives using the GRESB/BREEAM assessment as a basis for deciding on the definition of standards. Building on this, we developed standardized content and an enablement strategy to actively involve the retail development team in all villages.

The result: a sustainability manual that defines standards for brand and tenant sustainability guidelines for retail fit-outs. A sustainability checklist was implemented as a solution tool to track and benchmark brand compliance. These initiatives provide a clear structure and measurable progress in the implementation of ESG standards across all Villages.
